Your films will take on a completely new dimension! Although it hasn’t quite made its way into every living room, but rapidly on the increase, this system distinguishes itself by offering sound effects on a vertical plane, reflected off the ceiling. This gives the spectator the impression of being plunged into an ultra-realistic 3D universe! The strict minimum for Dolby Atmos® is a 5.1.2 system, and Focal wanted to integrate this technology into the new generation of Sib & Co loudspeakers, the iconic Home Cinema range launched in 2002! The 5.1.2 pack is composed of two loudspeakers equipped with an additional speaker driver on the top featuring Dolby Atmos® technology. This new-generation “enabled loudspeaker” was designed to reproduce both horizontal and vertical waves (towards the ceiling). The major innovation of this technology lies in the reflexion of sound waves off the ceiling towards the listener using an extra speaker driver on top of the loudspeaker. Get ready to live a completely new audio experience worthy of cinemas! This pack is ideal for rooms measuring 100ft2 to 540ft2 (10 to 50m2), and it will blend in perfectly with your interior, giving it a very stylish touch.

Sib Evo is composed of a 5? Polyflex speaker driver and a ¾? silk dome tweeter integrated into a sizeable enclosure in order to give it extended frequency response. The Dolby Atmos® loudspeaker is equipped with an additional 4? full-range Polyflex speaker driver on top dedicated to the Atmos® effects. The Cub Evo subwoofer recalls the same design codes as our Hi-Fi subwoofers in a ‘‘lifestyle” product. Equipped with an 8’’ speaker driver and a 200W Class D amplifier, it’s characterised by its MDF structure and its Matt Black finish.

The particularity with this loudspeaker is its capability to reproduce the Atmos® effects of cinemas in the comfort of your own home. In addition to the front-firing speaker driver, an additional full-range speaker driver has been integrated into the top of the loudspeaker. This system prevents having to add accessories to your loudspeakers to reproduce the vertical effects, which may spoil the design or the overall harmony of the system. This surrounds the spectator with sound effects, particularly those coming from above, a major innovation for this type of product. Imagine an action scene with planes flying overhead, rain falling down or the rumbling of thunder... Atmos®-enabled loudspeakers, through the front-firing and vertical-firing speaker drivers, form a complete system with all elements working in perfect harmony. Dôme Flax is a high-end system made in France, characterized by its miniature and « high-tech » design. Thanks to its Flax cone, made of linen, this 5.1 system gets a major improvement in definition and intelligibility of dialogues as well as a larger spacialization thanks to a better linearity of the frequency response. A true return to nature for your films!

The Dôme Flax system is associated with the wireless subwoofer Sub Air for a 5.1 configuration. Free from any cables, Sub Air offers an intense and deep sound and perfectly fits into all kinds of spaces with its flat and compact design.

The flax cone are made in France exclusively by Focal since 2013. With their original design, the cone are entirely oriented towards acoustic performance. They are made of high-quality flax fiber enclosed by two thin layers of glass fiber. F cone are characterized by their natural sound, with low coloration, their richness of reproduction in the midrange register and their tighter bass. The lightness of the fiber satisfies the criteria of high internal damping, high velocity and high flexural ridgidity. Flax is twice as light as fiberglass because the fiber is hollow. It also has very low elasticity which makes it ideal to increase the flexural rigidity of a sandwich structure.

As for the style, Dôme has a refined design, perfectly in line with current trends. No visible screws with cover, noble materials combined with a luxury finish providing high perceived value, it can be rotated and it is easy to integrate by mounting to a wall, the ceiling or a stand.
